By creating an account or using the SquadChatter application ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Account Registration

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
• You must provide accurate information when registering
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• One person may not maintain more than one account

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App to harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Transmit hate speech, sexually explicit content, or content promoting violence
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or our systems
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the App
• Distribute spam, malware, or phishing content through channels or organizations
• Record, store, or redistribute other users' voice transmissions without their consent

3. User-Generated Content

• You retain ownership of content you create (channel names, descriptions, announcements, uploaded images)
• By posting content, you grant SquadChatter a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display that content within the App to other authorized users
• We may remove content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines
• We are not responsible for content posted by other users

4. Organizations & Channels

• Organization owners and channel creators are responsible for moderating their spaces
• Role-based permissions (owner, moderator, member) carry moderation responsibilities
• We reserve the right to remove organizations or channels that violate these Terms

5. Voice Communication

• Voice transmissions are real-time and ephemeral — they are not recorded by SquadChatter
• You are responsible for what you say in voice channels
• Recording other users' voice without their consent may violate local laws — do not do this

6. Subscriptions & Payments

• Free tier features are available without payment
• Paid subscriptions (Pro, Organization Plan) are billed through Apple's App Store
• Subscription management, billing, refunds, and cancellation are handled by Apple per their terms
• We do not process or store payment information

7. Account Termination

• You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the App
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
• Upon termination, your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy

8. Disclaimers

• The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, particularly for real-time voice features which depend on network conditions
• We are not responsible for the content or behavior of other users

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SquadChatter shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [Your State], United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
